As many members will be aware, over the past few months a large amount of work has been put into the development of a Course Improvement Plan. The simplistic purpose of this report is to give course planning a clear and transparent direction.
Craig Parry Design was engaged by Goulburn Golf Club, in partnership with the Crown Land Management Team, to assess the current golf course, its overall site, its strengths and weaknesses and provide conceptual ideas to improve the layout and maximise its potential. This report plan is intended to inform the Board and members of future projects and works to continue to improve the course strategically and aesthetically. It is the intention of the Board of Directors & Crown Land Managers that this plan remains as a strategic direction, will be reviewed, and updated as the years pass, but will hopefully allow short, medium and long-term clarity for both the golf course and Crown Land Reserve.
This development report plan was prepared by Craig Parry and was then presented to both a consultative group and an Advisory Committee for consideration and to make recommendations to the Board. We would like to especially thank Craig for his work in preparing this report and also thank the members of the consultative group and the Advisory Committee for their time and efforts.
